About Me
My name is Amanda Baranowski and I'm a recent graduate from the University of South Carolina with a B.A. in Journalism Mass Communications. During my time at Carolina, I majored in broadcast journalism with a concentration in sports media with a minor in entertainment management. Throughout my studies and professional experiences over the past four years, I continue to grow a strong passion for the sports media industry.
Sports have always been a central part of my life. Growing up as a Philadelphia sports fan with a passionate team environment, I developed a deep appreciation for the energy and storytelling aspects of games. This exposure fueled my enthusiasm and interest in sports media, inspiring me to pursue this career.
During my time at the University of South Carolina, I had the opportunity to cover Gamecock athletics through the university's student-led broadcast organization, Student Gamecock Television. Fulfilling roles in anchoring, editing, reporting, and producing, I had the opportunity to be a part of the media covering the NCAA Women's March Madness Tournament during the Sweet Sixteen round in 2023 on behalf of the organization. Additionally, through my involvement, I gained opportunities to work with Gamecocks+ and Gamecock Football with Coach Beamer to create highlights used in post-football game shows.
For the past two years, I have seen sports media in professional golf through the lens of a more sports management role. I was fortunate enough to work the 2024 and 2025 Masters Tournaments in Augusta, Georgia where I served as a hostess in the Bartlett Lounge, in the world-class Press Building. Being immersed in the high level of production from members of the media, I learned just how much coordination, professionalism, and dedication goes into covering a major tournament like the Masters.
Currently, I serve as the Washington Commanders Studio Production Intern for the 2025 season. In this role, I have had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in live and pre-produced studio production for the organization's shows, including "Command Center", "The Players Club", "The Gameplan", as well as the Commander's live gameday shows.
I continue to be excited about furthering my career in sports media and am eager to learn and grow in the industry with every organization I am part of.
